This shot is right before Smokey's big paw came down on my face!
I wasn't looking for a new pet when I came across his photo on PetFinder. He was a surrender to CircleTail along with his three siblings.
He was the only blue and his foster family did a remarkable job with him. I can't thank them enough.
I fell in love with his photo weeks before meeting him.
He was 15 weeks old when he came home, 4/25/2012.
My life has not been the same since and I can't imagine my life without him.
The day he was first introduced to bird hunting was the best gift I could have given him. Seeing him with his first bird, I cried. He was so happy and proud. You could just see the light bulb go off. I wanted to be sure he would fulfill his destiny of being a bird dog and a Weimaraner, and my best friend.
Smokey is my heart and soul.
