"Shot Gun Wedding"

Christmas 2002, a dear friend knocked on our door and handed my family the best Christmas present ever, a two month old weimaraner, Powder Shugart.
He was so photogenic, so choosing a photo for this contest was difficult.
Powder had only one wife, Greycie Blue, during his 13 1/2 years, but I was the one he truly adored. He was much more than a pet; he was my loyal friend.
I was his nurse the last two years of his life, as he battled cardiomyopathy. His veterinarians stood amazed during monthly visits at how well he handled this heart disease.
I prayed 7 prayers pertaining to him over this sickness, and God was so gracious to answer each one; in that, Powder passed peacefully.
He was always by my side and now resides forever in my heart.
