In memory of a Weimaraner Rescue of the South alumni, Whiskey. He passed away June 1st 2022 at the age of 14. He was adopted when he was 4 years old, after surviving starvation and heartworms. Regardless of his difficult past, he made everyone that he met smile. He was his mom's shadow and rock, and was the perfect example of being able to come out of a difficult situation still smiling and happy to live life. Whiskey was the most resiliant being (dog or person) that his mom knew, and he helped her learn how to be positive even when things around you are anything but. Through the years he adopted the nickname "Sweet Old Man" from everyone that met him. He was a gentle giant with a smile that would brighten anyones day. In his honor his mom will live life the way he did; with resiliant positivity even when faced with difficulty and sadness. He left behind two furthbrothers, his mom and dad, and a whole community of people who loved him dearly. It's never gooodbye, just see you later. We all miss you more than words can express Whiskey, and will see you again when it's time.
