Tell voters something fun or interesting about the dog in the photo. Is this a WRS dog or rescued from another organization? If so, when was it adopted? Share something special that we could include on our calendar if your photo wins.
Neyland was surrendered to WRS in early 2023 after being hit by a car. He was transported to WRS care almost immediately for specialized treatment and he has healed beautifully from multiple major surgeries. He spent months restricted in a crate, with a cast and surgical suits, and a cone, nothing but slow leash walks.....all the things that can drive a Weim crazy. But through it all, Neyland has had the most sunny, cheerful attitude. He is big, and beautiful, and well behaved and just plain fun!

When he did finally get to run, he wanted all the balls at once! And for all his large, tough guy appearance and athletic strength, his secret vice is super nooking with small stuffed toys and very soft fuzzy blankets. He likes all the treats and all the people and all the dogs, and greets each new experience as an adventure.

Known as "Big Guy" or "Neyney" in his foster home, this super Weim brings a sense of joy and hope and laughter to them every day. He trades toys with his foster sister when they are outside playing and really enjoys wading in the puppy pool in the summer heat.

His foster folks thank WRS and all his supporters, because this amazing Weim is now looking forward to a great life. If Neyland could, he would greet every one of his supporters that sent well wishes, and supplies and funding for his healing with that goofy smile and wagging nub.
