We adopted Kona (f/k/a Mindy) from YGRR in September 2024 when she was 4 years old. She fit right into our family, and took no time making herself right at home (much to the chagrin of our 15 year old cat, Fifi).

We knew we couldn’t keep her endless joy for life to ourselves, so we enrolled her in Therapy Dog Certification training in May 2025, where she graduated with flying colors in June. In July she started her visits to assisted living facilities, spreading joy to the elderly throughout the Boston area.

We are so grateful she came into our lives, and look forward to many adventures ahead. This picture is from the 4th of July weekend, where she accompanied us to Nantucket, MA and charmed what seemed like the entire island.
