Gus is in charge of licks, fetching, and making sure someone is putting all of the household sun spots to good use. Both of his eyes were removed in 2013, due to a genetic condition, and he's been patiently waiting for us to turn the lights back on ever since. He enjoys "watching" TV and playing with his massive collection of stuffy babies.
Stevie Shea

Stevie heads up our customer support and makes sure that the organizations we work with are happy campers. If she's not glued to her computer or iPhone, you can most often find her behind a camera or scheming up a new renovation project on the 90+ year old home she shares with Jason and their four dogs. She also still plays with LEGO.

Jason is the software developer and "brains" behind GoGo Photo Contest. See a way to improve our software? Jason is the man to implement it. When Jason isn't working (he has an additional full-time job outside of GoGo!) he enjoys watching movies, working out, and trying to avoid renovation projects on the 90+ year old home he shares with Stevie and their four dogs. He also enjoys Nerd Slushies from Sonic.

Matt most often lends his expertise to what happens "behind-the-scenes" at GoGo Photo Contest, managing our financials and marketing efforts. An entrepreneur, an angel investor and an author, Matt enjoys spending time with his wife, Karine, and his son, Micah.

GoGo Photo Contest– Behind the Name
Nina "Bobo" Shea joined Jason and Stevie's household in 2002 after spending the first year of her life housed in a concrete kennel within a puppymill. At first anxious and scared, she quickly grew into a happy and vibrant little dog that was full of life and mischief.

A common phrase heard around Jason and Stevie's house was "GoGo, Bobo" (stubborn to the core, Nina had a habit of wandering off-course) and so when it came time to name our company, GoGo was the obvious choice. Not only is Nina our company's namesake, but she's the reason behind our passion for animal welfare.

Sadly, we lost Nina December 1st, 2014, after a year long battle with kidney failure. We're proud to continue our work in her honor.
Our Story
In 2005, a local humane society approached us about taking their annual photo contest online. The twist was that their photo contest had a donate-to-vote concept, meaning that every vote on an entry cost $1. The photo contest was a huge fundraiser for them, but unwieldy to manage. Participants had to come into the shelter to make a donation, or take the time to send their donation through the mail. Someone at the shelter had to keep all of the entries and votes in order. There wasn't an easy way for the public to tell who was in the lead.

Bringing the photo contest online made it accessible to everyone within the community and much easier for the humane society to manage. Their online photo contest was a huge success and the idea behind GoGo Photo Contest was born.

We've come a long way since 2005. Our goal has always been to make fundraising simple and easy. We've done this by adding intuitive contest management tools, a variety of customizations, mobile friendly designs and social networking tools.

Our lead developer currently sits on the board of the Sioux Falls Area Humane Society (the organization that first approached us in 2005) and our director of business development sits on a variety of non-profit boards. We recognize the challenges that organizations face when fundraising.
