Rules

• Because the contest is to select the Upstate New York Gelding of The Year, photos of gelding horses are accepted. Your gelding horse does not have to be adopted from the Begin Again Horse Rescue (BAHR) to be eligible to enter the contest.
• Your photo should only contain one gelding horse that you own or lease. You may submit as many photographs of individual gelding horses that you own or lease as you wish to be voted upon. Proof of ownership/lease required to claim prizes.
• Your gelding horse need not be a rescue animal to qualify.
• All photos must be uploaded; we cannot accept printed photos. We cannot accept Polaroids, photos with digital overlays, photo stickers or doodles, or any copyrighted or professional photos. No photos with digital effects will be accepted.
• Once entered, photos become the property of Begin Again Horse Rescue to be used for print and marketing purposes.
• We reserve the right to decline publication of any photograph for any reason. Should this happen, we will notify you and refund your entry fee if desired. BAHR has final approval on all photos submitted.
• The Submissions Period starts on April 1, 2016 at 8:00 AM EST and ends on April 15, 2016 at 11:59:59 PM EST.

• The Voting Period starts on April 1, 2016 at 8:00 AM EST and ends April 17, 2016 at 11:59:59 PM EST.

Each entry is $5. Each $1 donation counts as one (1) vote. You may vote for your own entry. Proceeds from this event will go to Begin Again Horse Rescue, a 501c3 charity, establishing a gelding fund called "Raveman's Gelding Crusade". This program will assist in gelding stallions to prevent unnecessary breeding and overpopulation of horses within a 2 hour radius of Begin Again Horse Rescue. We encourage you to e-mail, publicize and post on social media the contest link to family and friends and encourage them to vote for your favorite contestant's photo. Votes may be cast during the Voting Period only. All donations from voting are non-refundable. Entries and donations must be made via the online contest page. Contest payments online are through a secure site.


By submitting a photo entry, you warrant and represent that your entry is your own original work created by you and that you own or otherwise control all of the rights to your entry materials. If you submit an entry that is copyrighted by another individual, you are responsible for any legal action the copyright holder takes against you.

 By participating in the Contest, entrants agree to release and hold harmless Begin Again Horse Rescue and each of their respective officers, directors, representatives, volunteers and agents (the Released Parties) from and against any claims of any nature arising out of participation in the Contest or receipt or use of any prize.
