Three years ago to the date, I saw Falko's picture on the kill list. He was barely 11 months old, healthy, and beautiful. I had just lost my best furry friend and my heart was aching. I was not ready to adopt yet. So, I decided to foster for the first time ever. Falko was only with me for two weeks before a friend gave him his forever home. Falko now gets to travel the world with his dad on funded nature adventures and had the coolest life ever. The pictures of him remind me of how important fostering is and how it allows each dog saved the chance at true happiness. Rescue is not easy. Its heartbreaking and sometimes, you wonder if you are making a a difference...YOU ARE.
