Daxton's Fish is a non profit foundation formed in honor of our precious son, Daxton Cole Blanford.
At the tender age of 7 months, Daxton was found to have a softball size tumor in his abdomen. After many tests and a biopsy he was diagnosed with stage IV, High Risk, N-Myc amplified Neuroblastoma. For almost 8 months Daxton fought this disease with laughter and a smile.
This foundation was created in honor of Daxton in hopes that we may be able to give back and touch other lives the way so many of you have touched ours. We named the foundation after Daxton's love of fish and his undeniable connection with God.
On April 30, 2010 Heather and I held our son as he took his last breaths. He said goodbye to us only with a tear as he passed from this life to be with the Heavenly Father. Daxton received his angel wings and is welcoming all the other children into Heaven. He was an inspiration to many as he brought families closer together, and brought us all closer to God. May he look over all of us with his loving spirit and his comforting touch. We love you Daxton and will see you again soon.
Our goal is to promote awareness, financially assist families touched by Neuroblastoma and raise money for pediatric cancer research.
