Rules – Entering a Photo
- Only DCAWS (Dent County Animal Welfare Society) dogs or cats that have been adopted or in current foster care will be eligible to enter this contest!
- Photos must depict them wearing a Christmas costume OR the background must have them in a Christmas setting.
- People are allowed in your photo.
- All photos must be in color.
- Your photo may contain more than one pet, but each DCAWS pet must be identify in your description with its’ original DCAWS name in parenthesis.
- We cannot accept Polaroid, poor quality, or any copyrighted or professional photos with photographer’s signature or watermark.
- Photos should be high resolution (3650 pixels x 2740 pixels maximum in landscape or portrait orientation). Generally, photos taken with mobile phones are NOT high-enough quality. Mobile phone pictures will be accepted but the poor quality might hurt your chances in winning.
- Entries can be submitted only online before December 26, 2014 at 11:59 p.m. CST.
- NO entries can be submitted in person or by mail.
- Once entered, photos become the property of the Dent County Animal Welfare Society to be used for print and marketing purposes, with the possible intention of making calendars.
Rules - Voting
- Public votes for photo entries can be submitted online before December 28, 2014, 11:59 p.m. CST*. December 29, 2014 winners will be announced.
*The ending time for the online voting portion will be solely determined by the host website’s server*
