Enter your favorite photo of your doxie or doxies to win one of the coveted spots in the DRBC Dealing A Better Hand Playing Card Contest. Your entry and donations will help us continue to support the breed we hold so dear: the Dachshund. You will be able to count yourself among an amazingly caring network of people across the country and around the world who have supported our work to save over 6,500 Dachshunds since 1984, not turning any away due to age, injury or illness.
This contest is open to anyone. Your photo entry does not have to be of a DRBC rescue doxie. We love all doxies, doxie mixes, doxie wannabes and welcome entries from all animal owners. We encourage you to share your entry and encourage others to vote, vote, vote!

Add to the fun by setting a personal fundraising goal! Tell your friends and as voting begins watch your personal goal make a difference. We call it a 'throwdown' here at DRBC and it is fun to watch as family, friends, co-workers and DRBC followers work to help your hit your goal and climb in the rankings. Set up is easy, just activate the 'Fundraising Goal' option in your entry.
Prizes
Grand Prize (1) -
The entrant with the most votes will have their entry image and pet's name featured on a face card of their choice (4 Kings, 4 Queens, 4 Jacks, or 4 Aces). The printed decks will be a 54 card, standard poker-size 2.5'' x 3.5'' deck.
First Place Prize (3) -
The entrants in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place will have their entry image and pet's name featured on a face card of their choice (4 Kings, 4 Queens, 4 Jacks, or 4 Aces), given it has not already been reserved by an entrant ranking higher. First place gets first choice, second place gets second choice, third place gets third choice, and fourth place gets fourth choice.
Second Place Prize (36) -
The next 36 entrants with the highest votes after the fourth place winner will have their entry image and pet's name on one card in a 54 card deck (standard poker-size 2.5'' x 3.5''). The card in this category will be chosen at random.
Conditional Prize (open to any entrant) -
If your entry receives more than 50 votes you will receive one free deck of the DRBC playing cards. The deck of cards will be sold in the DRBC Doxie Boutique and at the contest site (purchase here).
