Ivy thinks Parliament Hill needs shaking up, and she's just the cat to do it. She's in favour of responsible catnip use, and confesses to having used it herself (although she didn't inhale). She's seen the effect of 'street nip' on her brother, Smudge, who went on a binge last Christmas and hallucinated that he was a jaguar. It took days to get him out of the Christmas tree. That was a tragedy the likes of which she hopes to help other cats avoid.

If elected Minister of Catnip, Ivy will work hard to ensure that Canada's cats have access to safe, organic catnip, and that more cats have loving, responsible owners who supply them with sufficient amounts of high-quality catnip.
