Rocco is a survivor! His mother was abandoned in the country...unfortunately she did not make it nor did any of his siblings. He was rescued as a kitten by good people. He lives with his loving family and is engaged to a cute little Doxie.

Rocco has the vision, leadership skills and passion to make a change! He believes in the 'Five Freedoms' for all animals defined by many animal rights groups.

1) Freedom from hunger, thirst and abandonment. His vision is to have government subsidized sanctuaries, food banks helping homeless pets and laws that landlords cannot discriminate against pets.

2) Freedom from pain, injury and disease by prevention and treatment with a Canadian healthcare plan to cover vaccinations, medications, spay and neuter programs and dental care, as well as international aid.

3) Freedom to express normal behavior by making sure that all animals are provided with sufficient space, facilities and companionship. This would mean all zoos must provide sanctuary-quality areas. No puppy mills. Farm and work animals treated with respect. Environmental issues are a top priority to save natural habitat for wild animals.

4) Freedom from fear and distress. Strict criminal laws against animal abuse that would reflect the severity of the crime.

5) Freedom for each and every animal to live their lives to the fullest.
