Great River Rescue is excited to hold another special Photo contest highlighting adopted and rescued pets. This year, our theme is Pandemic Pals! We want to highlight all of our furry friends who have helped us endure this difficult pandemic. Your photos don't have to be just cats or dogs either; please send us photos of any pet that you have adopted or rescued that have kept you company at home.

By submitting your photo you'll have a chance of having your pet highlighted in our 2022 GRR Calendar which will be printed and sold later this year. Plus, voters will be donating $1 for every vote which will be donated to Great River Rescue! So, even if you don't win, you'll be helping us save more pets.

Great River Rescue is hard at work saving pets, and fighting pet overpopulation. Please join our cause and the by taking part in our 2021 Pandemic Pals Photo Contest. You've already made a difference in the life of your rescued pet, now make a difference in the lives of hundreds more!


The top twelve vote getters will have their photo displayed as the main photo for a given month in our 2022 GRR Calendar. Winners' photos must be approved by GRR to be displayed in 2022 Calendar. Winners may be asked to submit a new photo if the file size and aspect ratio doesn't fit the specifications for the calendar. Non-winning photos will also be displayed throughout the calendar in a smaller format.


Just want a guaranteed spot in the calendar? Reserve a day to honor your pet. This can be for your pet's adoption anniversary, birthday, loved one's birthday, memorial or really any special day! Your pet's photo will appear on the day of your choice. Just choose your favorite photo and then choose the day and pay! First come first served! Once a date has been reserved, it will no longer be available.
