Welcome to Hospice Muskoka’s annual “Joy of Pets Photo Calendar Contest”! It’s our way to recognize the companionship and joy that our pets bring to our lives.  The top twelve pet photos will be featured in our new-this-year JOY OF PETS WALL CALENDAR!

The photo contest is a fun way to celebrate your pet while helping raise funds for Hospice Muskoka whose services help provide comfort, companionship, and even moments of joy to those in our communities facing end-of-life and bereavement challenges.

You can still pre-order JOY OF PETS 2023 WALL CALENDARs up to May 31st, 2022.  

• You can enter any time after 7:00:00 AM (Eastern Time) on Thursday, March 10, 2022.
• Select “Enter Contest” to the right
• Submit the most adorable photo of your pet, hi-resolution preferred.  One pet per entry.
• Tell us a little about your pet – their name, quirks, how they bring you joy
• Entry fee is $20.00 which gives your pet their first 20 votes & you get a charitable tax receipt

• Voting will open at 7:00:00 AM (Eastern Time) on Thursday, March 10, 2022 until 10:00:00 PM (Eastern Time) on Thursday, March 31, 2022
• Each vote costs $1 donation with a 5 vote minimum per transaction
• Share your pet’s contest page with friends and family asking them to vote. Explain that their votes help raise money to provide hospice and grief services in South and West Muskoka ($1 donation = 1 vote)
• Share your pet’s page on social media asking your followers to vote
• The more you communicate your participation in the contest (ie at work, with friends, via social media), the better chance you have to see your pet featured in our 2023 Joy of Pets Calendar
• Remember you have until 10:00:00 PM (Eastern Time) on Thursday, March 31, 2022 to get as many votes as possible for your pet

The top twelve vote-getters will be featured in our 2023 Joy of Pets calendar, one per month.

The pet with the most votes gets 1^st choice of which month they appear in the calendar plus a free copy of the calendar and a $150.00 cash prize and a gift from one of our sponsors.

The pet with the second most votes gets 2nd choice of which month they appear in the calendar plus a free copy of the calendar and a $70.00 cash prize and a gift from one of our sponsors.

The pet with the third most votes gets 3rd choice of which month they appear in the calendar plus a free copy of the calendar and a $30.00 cash prize and a gift from one of our sponsors.

Celebrate your pet’s birthday or adoption day, or honour a pet in memoriam, by reserving a date square for their photo.  For a $15 fee, your pet’s photo will appear on the day of your choice in the calendar. Just choose your favourite photo and then choose a day and pay! 

First come, first served.  Once a date has been reserved, it will no longer be available. You can use the same photo as your contest entry, or use a different photo for your date square. And you need not enter the contest if you just want your pet’s picture in the calendar.
