Rules

This contest is open to any US resident 18 years or older.  You may enter a picture of your family and pets, or pets by themselves.  You may enter a photo of a pet that has passed on. 

The minimum donation for entering a submission is $5 per single photo. You may enter as many photos (no collages) as you desire but each is subject to the $5.00 donation

All entries are required to list:

• Animals Name and Age
• Where they live
• Who is their Human(s)
• Animal rescue organization you want to designate to receive a portion of the winning proceeds (if not K9 Kismet)
• A short paragraph limited to 100 words that tells voters how your pet rescued you and/or about why your pet completes you and/or your family.

Your photo may contain more than one animal.

Entries may be submitted from opening of contest on August 1, 2017 8:00 a.m. PDT until September 1, 2017 at 8:00 p.m. PDT 

Photos need to be in a JPEG, JPG, PNG or GIF format, although JPEG/JPG is the preferred form. Ideally, the original photo should be no smaller than 3648 pixels X 2736 pixels @ 72 dpi, but preferably 300 dpi

No videos, no collages.

Photos need to be submitted via the contest website submission form.  Sorry, we cannot accept hard copies.

All submitted photos are subject to review by K9 Kismet for inappropriate /offensive content.

Once a photo is submitted, it will appear in the online contest gallery and may be shared out on K9 Kismet website, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram Pages.

All entries must be the original work of the entrant. You must own the copyright to the photograph

Photos must either feature pets owned by the entrant, OR the entrant must have permission from the pet’s owner to submit their pet’s image.

We cannot accept copyrighted professional photos or any photos that have been digitally manipulated or altered.

Once entered, photos become the property of K9 Kismet  and may be used for online, print, and marketing purposes.

We reserve the right to decline publication of any photography for any reason.

You may designate another rescue organization other than K9 Kismet to receive a portion of the net revenue generated by this contest.  Include the name of the organization on the submission form.   At the end of the contest, we will donate 30% as follows to the designated recipients if they are in the top 3 by number of votes:

1st place:  20%

2nd place: 5%

3rd place: 5%

If no rescue is designated, K9 Kismet will be automatically designated.  K9 Kismet will receive the balance of the funds generated by this contest other than those rescues designated by the Top 3 winners. 

Each vote is $1 and counts for 1 vote and sold in blocks of $5.  There is no limit to the number of votes you may cast, but you must cast a minimum of 5 votes at a time for a minimum charge of $5. You may vote for your own photo and you may spread your votes across multiple pets. There is no limit to the amount of votes you can cast

Contest payments are made online through a secure site.

We encourage you to email the contest link http://www.gogophotocontest.com/k9kismet to family and friends and encourage them to vote for your entry.

All votes will be periodically tabulated and displayed on the contest website.  Due to the limitations of our computer tabulating system, there can be up to a 15-minute delay between when a donation is received/recorded and when it is reflected in the leaderboard.  All votes received before 8:00 PDT on September 1^st will be honored.  The leaderboard results are official.

The top vote winner at the conclusion of the contest will become the Calendar Cover Pet on the K9 Kismet Pet Calendar. The next 12 top vote recipients will become the K9 Kismet Calendar Pet for each calendar month between January 2018-December 2018.

We will do our best to include all the entries on the calendar, but at minimum, the top 50 photo winners (excluding the 13 winners) will be featured throughout the calendar with thumbnail photos.  Placement location is at the sole discretion of K9 Kismet.

Contest winners may need to re-submit their photo to K9 Kismet as a high resolution (large file), print quality image. Ideally, the original photo should be no smaller than 3648 pixels X 2736 pixels @ 72 dpi, but preferably 300 dpi. If the photo is too small, it will be disqualified for use in the calendar due to printing constraints or a new photograph will be required and must be delivered to K9 Kismet within 2 weeks after calendar close

Because your pet is so special, why don’t you reserve a day just for them?  Your pet's photo will appear on the day(s) of your choice. Just choose your favorite photo, choose the day(s), and donate $12 per day.  Once a day has been reserved, it will no longer be available. Donations are non-refundable and fully tax-deductible as permitted by law. K9 Kismet Dog Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization

By participating in this contest, entrants agree to release and hold harmless K9 Kismet and each of their officers, directors, representatives, volunteers and agents (the Released Parties) from and against any claims of any nature arising out of participation in the contest or receipt or use of any prize.

The contest is subject to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited.

K9 Kismet reserves the right to modify or clarify any of the contest rules during the term of the contest without advance notice.
