Krewe of PAWS Royal Court Contest Rules
- Entry into the contest is FREE. You can enter as many pets as you like but keep in mind that splitting votes amongst your pets may lessen their individual chances of winning.
- Starting date for entering photos and voting is 12/15/15 at 8am (CST). Ending date for entering photos and voting is 1/15/16 at 8pm (CST).
- Votes are $1. There is a minimum vote donation of $5.
- PAWS of NE Louisiana is a 501(c)3 organization. Donation votes are tax deductible. The email acknowledgment to your online donation serves as your tax receipt.
- The contest is open to all types of pets (except horses, ponies or livestock). Photos should include your pet only, NO humans allowed. The photo must show ONLY the pet that you are entering into the Royal Court contest (no group photos of multiple pets).
- Photos must be submitted online, no mail-in entries are accepted.
- You MUST register for the parade (at www.pawsnela.org) BEFORE entering your photo into the Royal Court contest. If you are NOT registered for the parade, your photo will be disqualified and you will not be eligible for the $100 gift card drawing.
- The winners of the Royal Court contest will be shown in real time when the contest closes. The male pet who has raised the most votes at the close of the contest will be crowned our King. The female pet who has raised the most votes at the close of the contest will be crowned our Queen. The top 3 male runners up will be our Dukes. The top 3 female runners up will be our Duchesses. Winners will be contacted via email by 1/20/16 with further instructions. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU USE AN EMAIL ADDRESS THAT YOU CHECK FREQUENTLY WHEN ENTERING THE CONTEST.
- Every entrant whose photo raises $10 or more in votes will be entered into a drawing for a $100 gift card to Petco, Petsmart or The Animal House (West Monroe, LA). Winner of the gift card drawing will be notified by email by 1/20/16.
- Proceeds from voting will benefit the programs of PAWS of NE Louisiana.
