Tasha was my mid-life crisis kitty. My daughter moved out and the empty-nest syndrome hit me. So I decided to have another baby. I went to visit my daughter to tell her this and meet her new kitten. As soon as I sat on the floor, this adorable kitten runs to me and jumps in my lap. It was love at first sight. My daughter graciously let me take Tasha home and my urge to have a baby was gone. She was all I needed. This was 14 years ago. Tasha is now fighting cancer in her lungs. We found this out almost four months ago. I didn't expect to have more than a few weeks but she is a fighter. My vet likes to say, Tasha is not ready to leave me yet, so she is hanging on. As long as her quality of life is good, I will keep her with me. We walked 2-5 times a day (I should say she walks me!) and she still chases squirrels. I feel blessed every day I have with her.
