Tell Your Pet's Rescue Story Here:
I have to thank my daughter for Poofer. She bought three kittens home and called me over. She had planned keeping all three (she believes in rescuing animals like me) but this fluffy little orange kitten came over and wouldn't leave me. The funny story is I thought Apollo (his official name) was a female and I named him Willow (Buffy fans will know why). Now, I have had cats all my life (I had over 20 cats at home at that time) so I know what to look for but I can only say he was so furry I misread the situation. :-) It wasn't until I took "her" to be spayed that I found out different. Boy, did I feel silly! He is the "typical" cat. Cuddly one minute, aloof the next. But his favorite sleeping position is splatted on my stomach with his head nuzzling my neck (makes it hard to sleep sometimes!). Obviously, he has me trained well! He brings so much joy in my life, whether he is feeling solitary, playing with his toy fish or just greeting me at the door when I come home.
