Neela, formerly "Azure", is a mixed-breed rescue dog from Animal Rescue of the Rockies. She was transported from a shelter in Texas to be with a foster family in Colorado, until I found and adopted her less than a week later. Upon seeing her gorgeous blue eyes and super sweet personality, it's not hard to see why I immediately fell in love and took her home at first sight. After I adopted Neela, it was apparent that she had a fear of men and long objects (rakes, brooms, etc). The poor thing would cower in fear and slink to a corner if a man even entered the room. She also walked and ran stiffly, as though she was not used to having the freedom to run around. After living with me and my family, she quickly saw that most humans, even men, are actually kind and caring! She now loves cuddling with all people she meets, running around our large backyard and playing with our good-natured cat.
