A year ago our baby girl was on the kill list in New Mexico due to her severe anxiety. We made the choice to foster her here in Colorado until she found her forever home. When we got her she was malnourished, covered in ticks, and extremely fearful. The poor dog wasn't even a year old and you could tell she had been through a lot. After a few short weeks she started to come out of her shell and we fell absolutely in love with her. She was no longer the scared and dirty dog that no one wanted, she was our playful, crazy, and all around perfect puppy. So of course we couldn't let her go, so we adopted her. Even though she's been free for a whole year the damages from her past life still haunt her. She is still terrified of men, water, and the all so scary feathers. She has overcome so much and still surprises us every day.
