This is Eddy, aka Eddy the River Dog. He was rescued from Denver Municipal Animal Shelter in 2010 by Animal Rescue of the Rockies. He was only one year old. When I first met him I became his third foster parent. He was a problem child. He hated all men and most people, myself included. I was able to adopt him out twice, both times he was returned in only a few days. The second time he came back I decided to take him with me for a week of rafting and camping instead of confusing him with yet another home. That week changed his life. He took to rafting like a pro and he looked at me and said that this is the life he wanted. Five years later he is my inseparable companion and the official raft dog of Paddle Colorado Rafting where he brings happiness to hundreds of people every summer. Love this kid.
