My Pet's StoryI adopted Timber from a rescue in Illinois a little over 6 years ago. Upon adopting her I found out a volunteer transported her and her 7 litter mates from a Kentucky animal shelter that was 8 hours away. The shelter she came from had an extremely high euthanization rate for puppies since they receive so many unwanted litters. This was the first time my wife and I were made aware of the amazing work that volunteers do within animal rescue organizations. Timber is the reason that my wife and I have been actively involved with Pet Haven over the last 3 years. Our lives would not be the same without her.
