Our mission is simple – helping pets go home again! As a nonprofit animal shelter, we know we don’t do what we do alone. Thousands of people are a part of this organization as adopters, donors, and volunteers, and each of those friends plays an important role in helping the lost and homeless welcomed into our shelter every year! The Humane Society of Southern Wisconsin (formerly the Rock County Humane Society) is a private nonprofit 501c3 organization whose mission is to provide shelter and humane care to lost and homeless pets, reunite lost pets with their families, promote positive pet adoptions and educate our community in order to inspire compassion and responsible pet guardianship.
