Betty, the beagle, was found on the side of the road very thin, afraid and pregnant. The next day she delivered two healthy baby girls . The rescuer reached out for help and Roverchase,( a Pelham boarding, training and dog care facility), responded and that is where Betty safely raised her two precocious girls. Betty was young but a great mom. Her background remains a mystery, she distrusted many people especially men. My sister Becky adopted her when the pups were ready. The first night Betty stayed at her cousin Storm's house, a big black lab. She laid on the sofa, he brought her toys, laid beside her and became her big emotional security blanket. With Storm Betty is brave, she can go for walks, ride on the boat, swim and enjoy life. Betty lives with Becky, her mom, but happily visits her best friend often.
