It's been so rewarding watching Cooper come out of his shell. He was described as "in need of confidence" in his profile - and while true to his breed and therefore wary of those he doesn't know, he has made great strides in confidently sitting right next to me during introductions (instead of hiding behind my legs!) He is game for any adventure, be it a half day hike or relaxing at a coffee shop. His big test came a few weeks ago at the San Francisco Kite Festival. I was so proud of his calm demeanor, and his focus on his new extended family, while hundreds of strangers and flying objects were darting around him, unpredictably. The trust and bond created with a rescued animal is so rewarding and so difficult to describe. In gratitude and Peace - Cooper and Jodi
