Hi this is Annie. At about 4 years old I found myself behind bars in a place echoing with barking--the Animal Shelter in Modesto. I waited but my family never came looking for me. For 2 weeks I was passed over until one day my future mom showed up with my future fur brother, Gonzo, who had gone home with her from the shelter last year. I liked him and he liked me. She said that under the mountain of fur she could see I was a really nice lap dog. Well, I fooled her! Barely a month later I am in charge of the 2 border collies and can whip Gonzo in tug games and beat him to the ball in fetch. I now have a little fenced yard and a large fenced field too and I am so glad to be looking out at my world through green blades of grass and to be sleeping at night on their bed with Gonzo. She says I helped dry hers and Dad's tears after losing their little toy poodle mix boy. She says I'm perfect--smart, friendly, animated, a good eater, housebroken, a fast runner, a great car rider and leash walker, a helpful irrigation dog, I'm crate trained and a good clothes wearer, and affectionate. I say she makes me feel loved and cherished and like I found the place I was meant to be.
