Your Pet's Story
Pickles is a terrier mix adopted from the Halifax Humane Society. I had been looking for a small dog to ad to the family for many months traveling all over the state but not connecting with any rescues. I knew I would KNOW when I found the right one. When I went to Halifax and this little guy was there he was named Major and was a mess. He was an owner surrender. When I inquired I found out there were two holds on him already. I was discouraged from filling out the forms but I KNEW he was my dog I just felt it! I filled out the forms and was told he was going to prison to be trained through the Pups N Pals program. Many weeks went by and no word. I thought many times that my instinct that he was supposed to be mine was wrong. Then I got the call in my voice mail that he was mine if I still chose. I let out the biggest scream I didn't even hear the rest of the message. He has been the perfect addition. He is 13 lbs up from his original scrawny 9 lbs but most definitely has a 70 lb dog trapped inside his tiny body! He rules the roost even with my 55 and 77 lb girls! He is all personality for sure!
