Your Pet's Story
I was born on a farm that raised Mini Aussies. When my litter and I were old enough to leave mommy, all my cute siblings were adopted into forever homes. It was apparent to me (being a smarter than average pup) that I wasn't even in contention. I knew why. I am shy, wouldn't come when called and I didn't speak at all back then (I think this is called being skittish, or perhaps just plain stubborn!). In addition to these difficult traits, my tail was lopped clean off - leaving only a bit of a stump thus - nothing to wag ....
Later, when a new litter of very cute, active, friendly pups were born, they were prancing around, wagging their tails and winning the hearts of families who would take them to their forever homes. My only hope was to change my basic behavioral instincts. Perhaps I could actually allow someone to hold me or cock my adorable head and look cute. Sooo, I decided to try my hardest to be somewhat friendly at the next showing, if the family seemed patient, loving and friendly.
When the next people came I tried to show I had some crazy mix of of nice, agreeable qualities. I was so nervous. But, guess what? I won! They actually liked me. No, actually they loved me, right from the start.
I cannot truthfully claim to make their easier, but I know for certain I make their lives happier!
