How to enter the Parade Mascot contest (and win!):
Take a picture of your pet dressed in their favorite costume. Only one pet can wins, so one pet per entry please!
Starting October 1st, you can post that picture to this contest page by clicking the orange "Enter Contest" button to the right.
- Entry fee is $10 and you will get your first 20 votes (2x1!) for that fee
Share your pet's entry with all your friends and family between October 1st and noon on October 31st. Ask everyone to donate by voting for your pet. $1 = 1 vote (and you can cast as many votes as you like!)
Question: How many jog-a, read-a, walk-a-thons of your friends human kids have you donated to? It is time to ask those friends, neighbors, and family members to return the favor, and make your pet famous as next year's mascot, all while raising much needed funds for Colorado Pet Pantry!

The Denver Nook Pet Parade will be held on Saturday, October 18th at 10am, to kick off the start of Fall Fest!. Please register here to participate and get email updates on the event!
Prizes at The Parade include: 1st and 2nd Place prizes for the Best Group and Best Individual Costumes, as well as the Show Champion, and a prize for our most Senior Pet. Our celebrity judges also give out their own prizes! However, you don’t need to attend The Parade to win the biggest prize! The honor of being next year's Parade Mascot is up to you!

Rules- In order to be eligible, your pet MUST be available to be professionally photographed in Metro Denver within 6 months of November 1st 2025.
- Limit of 1 pet per photo entry. People are not allowed in photos, only your pet. You may enter multiple pets per household as separate entries.
- All photos must be uploaded; we cannot accept printed photos. Due to copyright considerations we cannot accept any copyrighted or professional photos.
- You may submit at anytime. Voting Starts at 8:00 AM (Mountain Time) on Wednesday, October 1, 2025 and ends at noon (12:00 PM Mountain Time) on Friday, October 31, 2025. Winner announced at 1pm on Halloween!
- Contest entry fees are tax deductible. The email acknowledgment to your online donation serves as your tax receipt.
- Any photograph that includes content that is deemed inappropriate, indecent, may portray harm to an animal, or is obscene, as determined by Denver Nook in its sole discretion, will be removed from the contest with no opportunity for a refund.
- Posting more than one photo of your pet does not increase the chances of winning. The winner of the photo contest will be determined by the top entry that receives the most votes.
