Your Pet's Story or Bio
It was called in to animal control as a "dead dog" on the side of the road. When they arrived they found him in respiratory distress with a broken neck, broken jaw and bleeding from his nose. He had also lost an eye. Was he even worth saving? I am thankful everyday that someone thought so. He was rushed to the emergency vet. They called the number on his tag but no one wanted him now. He held on and fought for his life. I wonder if deep down he knew there was a family out there ready to love and accept him, despite knowing the challenges his medical condition would pose. APAWS of Baton Rouge took him in. We saw him on Facebook and knew he needed to be part of our family. This is his picture before and 1 year after we adopted him. He still has seizures and some neurological issues but he is the happiest, goofiest guy we have ever met. He reminds me everyday that no matter how difficult, you need to fight to overcome struggles of life because it will get better. Today he spends his days prancing around the yard or snuggling in his favorite blanket. He is an inspiration to us all.
