Entering the Contest

This contest is open to anyone who has adopted or rescued a companion animal. Photos of (domestic pets) dogs, cats, horses, small mammals, reptiles, and birds are accepted. They do not have to be currently living to be submitted. No humans in photos, please.
Your pet does NOT have to be adopted from Acadiana Animal Aid or live in Lafayette Parish to be eligible to enter the contest.
This contest requires a $10 entry donation fee, which then counts as your initial ten votes.
All entries are required to list the name of the animals pictured in the photo and a short bio. Bios can be up to 250 words.
Digital photos are required.
Photos must be clear, of good quality, a high resolution, and submitted via the contest website submission form.
We recommend you upload photos from your phone or camera at ORIGINAL SIZE for high resolution.
Photos must be at least 300dpi and 2MB or larger.
No hard copies will be accepted.
Once a photo is submitted, it will appear in the online gallery and will be open to voting by the public.
We cannot accept copyrighted professional photos or any photos that have been digitally manipulated or altered other than basic cropping and color adjustment.
Once entered, photos become the property of Acadiana Animal Aid and may be used for online, print, and marketing purposes.
We reserve the right to decline the publication of any photography for any reason.
All those who enter a photo must be at least 18 years of age.

Miscellaneous Info

Donations are non-refundable and fully tax-deductible as permitted by law. Acadiana Animal Aid is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. (Tax ID - 23-7414331)
By participating in this contest, entrants agree to release and hold harmless Acadiana Animal Aid and each of their officers, directors, representatives, volunteers, and agents (the Released Parties) from and against any claims of any nature arising out of participation in the contest or receipt or use of any prize.
The contest is subject to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited.

Online Voting

Voting by the general public is available for a $1 donation per vote.
We encourage you to email the contest link to family and friends and encourage them to vote for your entry.
Persons may submit as many votes for as many photos as they wish.
Voting begins on JULY 15, 2021 AT 12:00AM (CENTRAL TIME) TO OCTOBER 3, 2021 AT 11:59PM (CENTRAL TIME)
