The top three canine and top three feline winners will have their portraits displayed for a full year on the ACSKC Gallery Wall in the SFW Foundation Hospitality Center (our main lobby!). After the year, these special portraits will be gifted to the winning families to treasure forever.
This contest is for cats and dogs only—no hamsters or hedgehogs this time!
Pets DO NOT have to be ACSKC alumni.
Entering your furry loved one in the “Petparazzi Challenge” requires only a $5.00 tax-deductible, non-refundable donation to our 501-c3 organization. Registration begins July 11th and ends July 25th. Follow the photo submission requirements. Click here for the rules.

Pet owners, family and friends can help promote your loved one in the Challenge by using the social media links including Facebook, Instagram and TikTok.
And you can be sure ACSKC, our sponsors, volunteers and loyal supporters (like you) will do the same.
FIRST PLACE ACROSS BOTH CATEGORIES WILL WIN...
If your dog or cat receives the most votes overall, you’ll win our Crackin’ Good Time Basket! This prize includes a King Kooker outdoor boil and steaming pot, a four-piece seafood tool set, a bucket of JO Seasoning, a crab measuring tool, a $100 gift card to a local seafood seller, and more—everything you need to make your next seafood boil a true crackin’ good time!

Every participant (regardless of contribution amounts) will be entered into a raffle. The raffle winner will be announced on the morning of July 29th. The winner of this raffle will get their choice of either our Paws, Purrs & Plenty Basket or Wag More, Worry Less Basket!

Petparazzi Challenge Rules
Who can enter? Cats and dogs only—sorry, no rabbits or reptiles this time!
The top three canine and top three feline winners will have their portraits proudly displayed for one full year on the ACSKC Gallery Wall in the SFW Foundation Hospitality Center (our main lobby!).
After the year, those stunning portraits go home with the winning families to keep forever.
By submitting a photo, you’re giving ACSKC permission to share your pet’s name, story, and photo in future publications, including the 2025 Petparazzi Challenge.
Photo requirements:
High-resolution, full-color digital photos only
Landscape (horizontal) format preferred—it looks best on our wall!
No humans, stickers, filters, or fancy digital effects—just your pet’s natural charm
You can include more than one pet in a photo as long as they’re all cats or all dogs
All entries and votes are non-refundable, tax-deductible donations.
ACSKC reserves the right to make changes to these rules if needed.

The Animal Care Shelter for Kent County (ACSKC) is a nonprofit, no-kill animal welfare organization serving our community since 1962.
Each year, we care for over 800 homeless, lost, and abandoned animals, providing them with safe shelter, compassionate care, and lifesaving medical treatment. Our team works tirelessly to find loving, permanent homes for every adoptable animal.
