A little about me...Dip is a nearly 3 year old tuxie boy, adopted from this very shelter! He was originally part of a feral cat catch and release program, but while treating him they realized that 1) he has a neurological condition that would make it hard for him to survive in the wild, and 2) he’s far too friendly to not be considered for adoption.
His condition makes his head tilt (or “dip”, if you will) to one side, meaning he always looks a bit curious, and causes some coordination and balance issues, but that doesn’t hold him back one bit. The shelter described him as laid back, and while not much bothers him, his favorite hobbies include knocking everybting he can reach off high surfaces, running through the house at top speed, and screaming when he’s bored. There’s never a dull moment with him.
Dip is my registered Emotional Support Animal for OCD and anxiety, and despite being a menace at times, does his job very well. He follows me everywhere, sits on my lap while I work, and always knows when I need a snuggle. I’m so glad I was able to give him a safe and cozy home, and plenty of trinkets to knock off the shelves. I can’t thank the shelter enough for connecting me with him.
