Adopt Korean Rescue (AKR) exists to make that happen for some of the dogs who need it most.
AKR is a volunteer-based, federally registered not-for-profit organization dedicated to rescuing homeless and unwanted dogs in South Korea and finding them forever homes in Canada and the United States.
Many of the dogs they rescue have lived unimaginable lives, chained or caged for years, abandoned on roadsides, or surviving on the streets with their pups. Some are caught and sent to high-kill shelters or dog meat farms. AKR changes lives by guiding these dogs toward the joy and safety of a permanent home.
AKR is 100% volunteer-run. Every dollar raised through this calendar contest goes directly toward their rescue operations, from the moment a dog is identified in South Korea, to the day it crosses the ocean and into the arms of its new family.
