Weekly Mini-Contest Prizes
Even if your dog isn't leading the overall vote count, you can still win! Each week, the dog that receives the most new votes wins a prize. Each dog can only win one weekly mini-contest prize, giving more dogs a chance to take home a win.
Important: If your dog is one of the 12 winners, you must be able to bring them to a 30–45 minute photo session at pre-selected dates and locations, in your choice of Vancouver or Victoria, during June and July 2026. If you're unable to attend, your spot will go to the next top vote-getter.
There are five mini-contest prize periods in total. The first runs from the contest launch on April 30 to 9:00 pm on Sunday, May 3, 2026. Each subsequent mini-contest period runs until the following Sunday at 9:00pm, with the final period ending on May 31, 2026.
Some prizes are generously donated by sponsoring businesses and winners will be connected directly with the business to arrange pickup at their store location. Pickup or redemption requirements vary by prize and will be confirmed with winners. Prizes provided by the organizer, Kim Hawkins Photography can be picked up in Vancouver or mailed within British Columbia. Due to shipping costs, physical prizes can't be mailed outside of BC.
Please note that AKR is a non-profit organization but is not a registered charity and donations through this contest are not tax deductible.

Voting
- Donations made in support of a dog receive one vote for every $1 donated, with a minimum donation of $5. Please note voting donations are non-refundable and are not tax deductible.

- Votes will be counted electronically under the supervision of GoGoPhotoContest.com, whose decisions are final.
