Short story about your dog
Karley Q and I met on December 4th 2024. Her adoption was formalized on December 10 and I picked her up (GOTCHA DAY) on December 11, 2024.

Karley’s foster mom stuck with my little nugget through thick and thin for two years (including being returned four times for being timid, afraid, and extremely shy). She helped Karley come out of her shell and worked with Karley’s trauma(s) from living on the streets.

Karley is afraid of some but not all loud noises, and once in a while still shuts down for an hour or so, but she has come far. Karley now comes when I call her. She now takes snacks from my hands when I am standing, instead of just taking them when I sit next to her on the couch, or when I have my back to her while tossing the snacks behind me. Karley has made and continues to make good, healthy progress. She is loved beyond words and is my baby girl.
