Albert's Dog Lounge 2027 Calendar Contest

Albert's Dog Lounge, in partnership with Shadow Dog Photography, is happy to announce its dog calendar contest for 2027. Proceeds from the photo contest and sale of the calendar will assist Albert's Dog Lounge with the continued medical needs of the rescued senior and special needs dogs. Since close to $1,000 is spent on each dog for vetting and preparation for adoption, this fundraiser will allow Albert's to continue its important mission.

We encourage you to submit your favorite photo of your dog and ask your family and friends to vote for him. Please review the Contest Rules carefully for submission guidelines; those that do not follow these rules will not be eligible to win. Fees for photo entries and votes will help Albert's Dog Lounge continue its efforts with saving the lives of senior and special needs dogs.

Grand Prize:
The winners of the photo contest will be determined by the top 12 entrants that get the most votes. The top winner will win the coveted cover photo for the 2027 calendar! 1st - 12th place winners will be featured as a dog of the month. The 12 dogs with the most votes will be professionally photographed by Shadow Dog Photography for the 2027 calendar.


Reserve a Special Spot In The Calendar For Your Dog:
Honor your dog or celebrate a gotcha-day or birthday by reserving an empty grid space (before or after the numbered squares) for their photo. Choose a favorite photo, select a month, and pay. Each month has a limited number of squares in each grid and will be filled on a first come, first served basis so don't delay! Each grid space is just $15.

About Us
Albert's Dog Lounge is a foster-based rescue focused on providing loving homes to seniors, special needs, and hospice dogs. This rescue helps dogs in need from overcrowded shelters and also from local families who are no longer able to care for their pets.

Albert's Dog Lounge was established in 2017, in Whitewater, WI, with the vision to be the stepping stone to a new life for those dogs who are less likely to be rescued, adopted, or are at a higher risk for euthanasia.
Prizes
Grand Prizes:
The winners of the photo contest will be determined by the top 12 entrants that get the most votes.

The top winner will also win the coveted cover photo for the 2027 calendar! 1st - 12th place winners will each be featured as a dog of the month. The 12 dogs with the most votes will be professionally photographed by Shadow Dog Photography for the 2027 calendar.

DOGS MUST STILL BE LIVING, IN ORDER TO SECURE A SPOT IN THE CALENDAR. (Sorry, no "in memoriam" spots.)

All winners will have the opportunity to purchase artwork and images following their session, if desired.

*The 12 dogs with the most votes will win a professional on-location photo session by Shadow Dog Photography. Sessions will take place between March and May, 2026 on the Shadow Dog Photography property in Whitewater, WI. If you are unable to commit to a photo session during those times or find yourself unable to travel to this location, you forfeit your winning and the next top voted dog will take your dog's spot in the calendar, no exceptions.


Weekly Mini Contest Prizes:
Each week the dog receiving the highest number of new votes will win a mini-contest prize from one of the participating businesses. Each dog may only win a weekly mini-contest once. In the event of a tie, a random computerized draw will be held between the highest vote getters of the week to determine that week's winner. In the event that there are no new votes for that week, a random computerized draw will be held for all eligible dogs. Certain individual business restrictions and limitations may apply and may vary by business. Shadow Dog Photography is not responsible for these restrictions and eligibility requirements as determined by each business.
Rules
Entries:
  • Each entry is a $10 donation.
  • Limit of ONE dog per photo entry. People are not allowed in photos, only your dog. Photos that do not follow these rules will not be eligible to win, with no opportunity for a refund.
  • DOGS MUST STILL BE LIVING, IN ORDER TO SECURE A SPOT IN THE CALENDAR. (Sorry, no "in memoriam" spots.)
  • In memoriam photos are welcomed in one of the available Grid Spaces with a $15 donation (limited number available each month).
  • All photos must be uploaded; we cannot accept printed photos. We cannot accept any copyrighted or professional photos.
  • The Submissions Period starts at 8:00 AM (Central Time) on Sunday, February 1, 2026 and ends at 9:00 PM (Central Time) on Saturday, February 28, 2026.
  • Contest entry fees are tax deductible. The email acknowledgment to your online donation serves as your tax receipt.
  • Any photograph that includes content that is deemed inappropriate, indecent, or obscene, as determined by Shadow Dog Photography, in its sole discretion, will be removed from the contest with no opportunity for a refund.
  • Each dog may enter once. Posting more than one photo of your dog does not increase the chances of winning, only one photo will be permitted.
  • The winners of the photo contest will be determined by the top 12 entries that receive the most votes. The same dog can only win once. Attempts to win two spots in the calendar by the same dog will not be permitted.

Voting:
  • Each $1 donation counts as one (1) vote.
  • All donations from voting are non-refundable. Entries and donations must be made via the online contest page. Contest payments online are through a secure site.
  • Contest votes are tax deductible. The email acknowledgment to your online donation serves as your tax receipt.
  • All winners will be determined by electronic vote tabulations under the supervision of GoGo Photo Contest, whose decisions are final and binding.
  • The Voting Period starts at 8:00 AM (Central Time) on Sunday, February 1, 2026and ends at 9:00 PM (Central Time) on Saturday, February 28, 2026.

Calendar Photo Session:
  • The 12 dogs with the most votes will win a professional on-location photo session by Shadow Dog Photography. Sessions will take place between March and May, 2026 on the Shadow Dog Photography property in Whitewater, WI. If you are unable to commit to a photo session during those times or find yourself unable to travel to these pre-selected locations, you forfeit your winning and the next top voted dog will take your dog's spot in the calendar, no exceptions.
  • The top vote recipient will win the coveted cover photo for the 2027 calendar. The 12 recipients with the most votes will be eligible to have their dog featured as a dog of the month.
  • The photographer, Shadow Dog Photography, will choose the best image of each dog to be used in the calendar as well as which month that image will appear.

The Fine Print:
  • By submitting a photo entry, you warrant and represent that your entry is your own original work created by you and that you own or otherwise control all of the rights to your entry materials. If you submit an entry that is copyrighted by another individual, you are responsible for any legal action the copyright holder takes against you.
  • Calendars will be available for sale to the general public starting in October, 2026.
  • By participating in the Contest, entrants agree to release and hold harmless Albert's Dog Lounge and Shadow Dog Photography and each of their respective officers, directors, representatives, volunteers and agents (the Released Parties) from and against any claims of any nature arising out of participation in the Contest or receipt or use of any prize.
