Miss Abbey Normal was rescued from a dog-fighting situation in Maryland and came to the Vola Lawson Shelter with heartworm and pregnant with a litter of puppies. Thanks to the great work of the shelter and a dedicated foster family, Abbey and her puppies were all able to find forever homes.

Abbey now enjoys being the Number One dog in her new home, sleeping on any and every piece of furniture she can find, shedding constantly, receiving new nicknames on a daily basis, and protecting her yard from marauding squirrels. Her people are grateful every day that the AWLA brought her into their lives.
