The minute we walked into the Alexandria Animal Welfare League the day after Thanksgiving several years ago, we heard a tiny "meow" greeting every person that walked in. It was love at first sight! We stationed our Marine family member in front of the cage while we searched for a playmate. Within minutes, a Maine Coon struck a chord (Taser, nee "Skipper") , and our new orange family members were brought home to live happily ever after.
