After losing Kona, our family was heartbroken. She was more than a dog, she was family, and losing her left an emptiness we weren’t sure how to fill. Soon after, we rescued Bogey, and then discovered something that stopped us in our tracks: he shared the exact same birthday as Kona. It felt like a sign when we needed one most.
Bogey didn’t replace Kona, no dog ever could. Instead, he helped us heal. Through his goofy personality, endless love, cuddles, and loyalty, he brought laughter back into our home and gave our kids joy during a painful time. He reminded us that even after heartbreak, there is still room for love. We rescued Bogey, but the truth is, he rescued us right back and helped mend our broken hearts
