Contest purpose: Raise $10,000 for Out of the Pits dog rescue
50 dogs, 50 locations. From the banks of the Hudson River to the historic streets of downtown Troy, from Saratoga's thoroughbred track to the towpaths of the Erie Canal, the Hounds on the Hudson book is a love letter to the Capital Region and the dogs who call it home.
Every location is chosen to reflect the real and unique character of this place. Every dog is photographed with the care and attention to detail they deserve--of course!
The Hounds on the Hudson coffee table book will be available for purchase for $85, with $25 from every copy sold benefiting Out of the Pits. It's a 12"x12" full-color coffee table book with the standard thick, glossy pages used for professional photography books.
Entering the contest is easy-peasy: submit a favorite photo of your dog and the $10 donation, then ask everyone you know to vote with a $1 donation. It's that simple!
As a bonus, special weekly prizes for voters will be announced throughout the contest. Be sure to follow

The 50 dogs with the most votes will win:
- A private 1-hour outdoor portrait session at an iconic Capital Region location for a discounted session fee
- One image from each session will be featured on a full page in the book
- One matching high-resolution digital file for the published image
- One copy of the book
The #1 top scoring dog will receive the coveted book cover spot, as well as a page in the book and the high-resolution digital files for both images!!
Please Note: contest winners must pay a $225 session fee to cover an additional $25 donation to Out of Pits, publishing costs and a small portion of the photographer's time and talent (and gas money!).

Prizes
On June 1st at 6pm, the 50 dogs with the most votes will be announced as the contest winners and each dog will receive a discounted 1-hour outdoor photography session with Amy Z Photography, a spot in the Hounds on the Hudson book, a digital copy of the published image AND a copy of the book!
One portrait will be chosen by the photographer from each session to be published in the Hounds on the Hudson book. The overall contest winner will have two portraits chosen (book cover, one page) from their session.
The winning pet parents will receive the digital file for their final image and will have the opportunity to purchase additional digital images and printed products by applying their $225 session fee to a full portrait package (Signature, Premium or Luxe package).
Each contest winner will also receive one copy of the Hounds on the Hudson book.
