The animal with the most votes across ALL categories:
Will be named #1 Winner and receive the largest feature on our shelter van, plus a free 2026 APCSM Calendar.
The top winner in each of the remaining two categories:
Will also be featured on the van with smaller photos.
Rules & Guidelines
- Pets must be domestic animals typically found at the APCSM (dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, chinchillas, mice, parakeets).
- High-resolution, clear photos only (at least 300 dpi or minimum 2400 x 1800 pixels)
- The pet should be clearly visible as the main subject
- Cats and dogs should be facing the camera. For birds and small animals, we understand a full face-forward photo may not be possible, just make sure your pet is clearly visible and in focus.
- No people in photos, please!
- Pets do not need to be adopted from the APCSM.
- Entry fee: $20 per pet. One pet per entry. If you have multiple pets, please enter them separately.
- Voting: Each $1 donation = 1 vote. Supporters can vote as many times as they’d like.
- All submissions will be reviewed for clarity and quality before being approved for the contest gallery.
- By submitting, you grant APCSM the right to use your photo for promotional and fundraising purposes.
The Animal Protection Center of Southeastern Massachusetts (APCSM) is a 501(c)(3) education and outreach animal shelter serving Plymouth, Norfolk, and Bristol counties. Since 2009, we've helped over 10,000 animals find their forever home.
