My Pet's Story
I fostered a small kitten named Blackberry from Abandoned Pet Rescue last April, thinking she just needed a safe place to heal. She came in with a minor limp, nothing too alarming. I soon noticed she was breathing fast and getting winded easily.

X-rays revealed a much scarier diagnosis: a diaphragmatic hernia and a collapsed lung. Her intestines had shifted into her chest through a tear in her diaphragm, likely from past trauma. Surgery was risky, but it was her only chance.

I made her a promise: If you survive this, I’m keeping you forever.
She pulled through.

Today, Blackberry is thriving! She is loving, playful, and loves spending time with Fizz, another Abandoned Pet Rescue alumni.
