My Pet's Story
Ron Santo was adopted in 2014 when our family was living in Virginia. At the time, I was 5 and my brother was 2. Even though we were rowdy kids, Ron Santo didn’t mind—he joined in the chaos! Ron Santo let my brother and me do whatever silly things we wanted to do to him. We would dress him up in doll clothes, carry him in a duffel bag around the house, make videos of him, play hide and go seek with him, and snuggle with him! He was truly the most chill and loving cat my family could have asked for. Ron Santo also loved playing with his favorite cat nip toys and black string, laying on his back with his paws and legs sprawled all over, and crawling underneath my bed (I truly don’t know how. There is only a few inch gap and he weighted 13 lbs!) to access the storage drawers under my bed and curl up there!

As you can see in the photo, Ron Santo loved the great outdoors! Whether he was chilling on the lounge chairs, chasing lizards, or accidentally falling in the pool (He was ok! Just a little wet 😆), he was never happier! He truly enjoyed when I took him outside and gave him head and ear scratches. He would meow at me and I would meow back—we both enjoyed our conversations (haha)!

He recently passed away, so I wanted to use this as an opportunity to pay tribute to this handsome kitty and the love he brought into my family’s home.
