My Pet's Story
I wasn’t planning on adopting a kitten at only 20 years old, but whenever I walked away from her kennel, she cried and immediately I felt like her mom.

14 years later and I’m still her mom (and she’s still very vocal)!! Maja may not be an APR cat, but she is an amazing cat. She has lived with my now husband and I in multiple states, would travel on planes with us back and forth multiple times a year when my husband was in law school, people even thought she was a dog (she was very calm traveling and used to be 15 pounds of muscle)! She has traveled with us in the car from south Florida to Wyoming to Seattle and back, she has battled many health ailments and is a survivor. She’s also funny, baby, and has even modeled for Chewy Pets (featured in this photo here from 2017). I don’t know how much time we have left with her as she’s been battling thyroid disease since 2021, so I want to honor her in this special calendar.
