Artist Statement
I have to say [art has impacted me] in every way. It is truly my therapy. Using my creative energy helps me cope with stress and anxiety when nothing else will. I use art as a meditative process. My favorite medium is acrylic paint on paper and canvas.

Hello, I'm Vicky, first I'd like to say Thank you so much for this wonderful opportunity to share what I love with all of you.

Creating art is an important part of my life. It's one of many tools I use to cope in life now well into my 40's, I find myself returning time and time again to what it is that brings me to a place of joy and calm. During my son's extended hospital stays in the hospital before and after brain surgery, my outlet was art, drawing, coloring, and even writing. I could focus on something else while keeping a close eye on my Ben. Now five years with NED, I'm still doing the same creating and caring for my son.
