Artist Statement
Art has impacted my life in such a big way. Without art, I truly don’t know how I would have gotten through everything. With art, I have been able to express my feeling more. My favorite medium to use is cardstock and Micron pens. I heard about the Art of Surviving by my mom, Kalyn Kavanaugh. I am so excited and thankful that I am able to enter this contest, and I can’t wait for the results! I don’t even care if I win, I am just glad to have had this chance. if I were to win any money, I would be putting it into my savings account to buy a car, which is in the near future.


Bio
My name is Paisley Kavanaugh and I am almost 15 years old. I have had two brain tumors called a Craniopharyngioma, the first brain tumor with emergency surgery, and the second with radiation therapy.
