Describe your art here - type of art, techniques and materials used, what your art represents and what it means to you.
I made this with crayons on canvas and used a blow dryer as a paintbrush to melt the crayons and blend the colors. My favorite crayons colors are purple, blue and magenta. For this piece, I used metallic crayons to make it sparkly.

Please include your age, tumor type and date of diagnosis (patients & survivors only) and let us know how art has impacted your life.
My name is Alex Wood. I am 10 and I live in Ocean City, MD. I was diagnosed with a craniopharyngioma at age 4 in May 2015. This month, I will be 6 years tumor-free. My family started the Raymond A. Wood Foundation*. I love to draw sea creatures and flowers. Art is my favorite thing to do and I want to be an artist when I grow up.
