Artist Statement (include type of art, techniques & materials used, what it means to you)
My artwork, titled ‘Resilience in Red: The Journey of Healing’, is a digital painting that I created using a computer and software tools. With a drawing tablet and stylus, I was able to paint directly onto my computer, using different brushes and effects to give depth and texture to the image. This piece is very special to me as it represents the journey of a person battling a brain tumor. The red fluid in the artwork symbolizes the treatment they’re undergoing, and the illuminated brain inside a sparkling sphere shows the focus on healing the brain. This artwork is about the strength and courage it takes to fight such a tough battle. I hope that when people see this artwork, they feel a sense of hope and resilience. It’s a reminder that even in tough times, there’s always a light at the end of the tunnel.

Artist Bio: Tell Us Your Story
Mia, one of my closest friends, was always known for her adventurous spirit. She moved away when I was eight but I never forgot her. She loved exploring new places and trying new things. One day, she was diagnosed with a brain tumor. It was a daunting diagnosis, but Mia was determined to face it head-on.

She decided to document her journey in a unique way. She started a blog, sharing her experiences with the world. She wrote about her treatments, her fears, her hopes, and her dreams. Her words were raw and honest, touching the hearts of many who read them.

During this time, Mia discovered a love for cooking. She found solace in the kitchen, experimenting with different recipes. She started sharing these recipes on her blog, along with stories of her journey. Her blog quickly gained popularity, with people from all over the world following her journey and trying her recipes.

One recipe, in particular, stood out - a red velvet cake. Mia called it the ‘Resilience in Red’. It was a symbol of her journey, the red representing her struggle and the sweetness of the cake symbolizing hope.

After a long battle, Mia was declared tumor-free. It was a moment of joy and relief for everyone who had been following her journey. Mia had not only survived her ordeal but had also created a community of people who were inspired by her resilience.

Today, Mia continues to write and cook. She uses her platform to raise awareness about brain tumors and to support others going through similar journeys. Her story is a testament to the power of resilience and the human spirit.
